I stopped by two of the Chanel boutiques tonight to check out the Fashion’s Night Out festivities – 57th Street and Soho. I went to the 57th Street location first and there was a line out the door before 6 PM when the night officially kicked off. Since I’ve had 3 manicures in 24 hours (manicures seem to be the blogger event du jour) I opted not to have my nails painted. I did however buy the polishes and two more Illusions d’Ombre (because I LOVE them). Afterward, my sister and I headed downtown to Soho and had dinner down the block from the Soho boutique. The line at the Soho store was around the block and it was still very early in the evening. I hope if you ventured out to one of the Chanel boutiques that you were able to get your nails painted. Can’t wait until next year and the next set of limited edition colors!

I’m happy to announce that La Chanelphile has been selected as a NY Fashion Week correspondent for Glam! I’m reporting from New York and I’ll be giving you a taste of the fashion action happening here in the Big Apple. To kick off Fashion Week, Glam and Qream hosted a night of pampering and tasty indulgences.
I’ve rarely been one to go for “girly” drinks but tonight I experienced a drink that appeals to the sophisticated ladies in us. Qream is a cream liqueur available in two flavors – strawberry and peach. Pharrell Williams had a hand in the development and marketing of Qream and you know that whatever he touches is instantly cool. Qream is no exception.
To get us acquainted with Qream, Glam and Qream hosted a night of pampering at a NYC salon. We each had a manicure and pedicure as we sipped our cocktails. How decadent! For a girl that likes luxury, tonight’s event could not get any better.
For those of you who haven’t tried it yet, Qream is a tasty alternative to the standard bar fare that is feminine but not “frou frou.” From the soft pink and peach color, to the sweetness on your palette, to the perfume-esqe stylized bottle, you’ll be the first to know the cool touch of Qream. Who knew taste-making could be so delicious?
Please drink responsibly. Drinking and driving is not chic. (Neither is drinking and dialing).
Qream Brand Statement:
QREAM WITH A QTM is a one-of-a-kind cream liqueur. It was created by an inspired alliance between Diageo and Grammy Award-winning musician, cultural ambassador and style visionary, Pharrell Williams. Williams was instrumental in the development of the liqueur’s creation – from taste and bottle design to marketing and advertising. Available in the U.S. in two flavors – Strawberry Crème and Peach Crème – Qream is 99% lactose free at 12.5% ABV. Visit the Qream Facebook page at facebook.com/qreamofficial.

Sorry for the lack of posts I’m getting ready for my flight to NY for Fashion Week! To kick off fashion week, Fashion’s Night Out is a huge event that takes over Manhattan. To commemorate the occasion, Chanel is releasing Les Jeans de Chanel and having events at many of its boutiques. Check out the flyer below to see if a Chanel near you is hosting a FNO event. I’ll be at one of the Chanel boutiques in NYC – just not sure which one yet. Are any of you going??

I’m a huge fan of Le Vernis de Chanel and I just came across this very clever video features some of Chanel’s best sellers. The nail colours are featured on hand models that do little finger dances like cabaret showgirls. I love this video – I’ll stop now – just check it out!
Yesterday I was at Macy’s in time for the release of Karl Lagerfeld’s collection. I’ve never been very successful at getting collabo stuff (CDG x H&M, KL x H&M, Lanvin x H&M) because I don’t wait in line, but I was determined to get my hands on some of the Karl Lagerfeld Impulse collection for Macy’s. Fortunately, there was no line – in fact, I was the first one there and got to peruse the collection at my leisure.
I picked many items to try on (and in multiple sizes because I didn’t know how the sizes ran). There were some items that I really wanted – like the faux leather pants – but they ran too big There’s something about leather pants – my inner rock star has always wanted a pair but alas, it was not meant to be. After playing dress up in the fitting room, I ended up getting a dress, scarf, t-shirt and two blouses. I’m really happy with all of the pieces – I will definitely be wearing many of them next week in NY for Fashion Week! Check out the items I purchased below.
You can find the Karl Lagerfeld Impulse collection at select Macy’s and on Macys.com.
Here is a list of Macy’s in the Bay Area that are carrying the collection:
San Francisco Union Square
Monterey Del Monte Center
Santa Rosa Plaza
Walnut Creek Broadway Plaza
Corte Madera Village
