The I Love Dust Design Agency (not to be confused with a cleaning service) has been commissioned to create graphics for the KARL by Karl Lagerfeld line. One of the designs is an image of Karl Lagerfeld make up of words and phrases – a clever use of typography. “The dark shades say ‘Sunglasses are like eye shadow: They make everything look younger and pretty,’ while his signature collar reads, ‘Black, like white, is the best color.’”
The design will be featured on four limited edition shirts for men and women and will be available for sale on May 31st at the KARL pop-up shop in NYC as well as Colette in Paris retailing for $95. Among the other graphics created by I Love Dust that were selected was a sketch of Karl’s signature fingerless driving gloves.
I think these will be a nice addition to the collection. I’m missing the launch of these shirts by literally one day! I’m leaving NY on the 30th If you’re lucky enough to be in NY and Paris I wish you luck getting one!
