Back in December I showed you the beauty for Chanel Métiers D’Art Paris-Bombay Pre-Fall 2012 collection and now we have official images of the pieces in the Chanel Bombay Express makeup collection. The collection features a lovely Poudre Compacte called Route des Indes de Chanel which is a lovely golden color used to highlight and matches many skintones. As with all of Chanel’s special palettes, the Route des Indes de Chanel compact features an Indian-inspired design.
The collection also includes Illusion d’Ombre Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadow in Nirvana, a deep black to give you the effect of kohl-rimmed eyes. Nirvana differs from Mirifique because it looks like a truer black without the silver sparkle and mulit-color shimmer of Mirifique.
The Joues Contraste Powder Blush in Brume d’Or is a lovely pinkish-peach with a hint of gold and the new Rouge Coco Shine
in Empreinte is a nice nude color to balance out the dramatic and bold eyemakeup. Finally there’s Le Vernis in Diwali, a luminous gold shade named for the Indian festival of lights.
I love the items in the collection – I’m a huge fan of dramatic eye makeup with a nude lip and I think these colors will look especially pretty with a tanned summer glow. The collection is set to release this month.
Absolutely gorgeous, I want everything. I think this show has to have been my favourite Chanel show ever. Everything was stunning.

Hi Alison,
It was one of their most impressive shows to date. I’m enamored with the jewelry from this collection – I’ll be showing some images soon!
