Peter Philips has been creating some interesting short films like “Here Comes the Beauty Pack”, “Shade Parade“, “A Polished Look” and “Mani-Morphosis” that showcase the beauty products he creates for Chanel in unique ways. His latest film Miroir, Miroir (Mirror, Mirror) highlights the new collection of Chanel Rouge Allure lipstick out in September 2012; the collection features sixteen new colors ranging from shades of orange, red and fuchsia.
Taking inspiration from a mirror-embellished coat Karl Lagerfeld designed for the Métiers d’Art Paris-Bombay pre-fall collection, Peter Philips painstakingly glued pieces of mirror on model Inguna Butane’s face for over three-hours. Peter Philips stated: “I’m a huge fan of visual communication…a sparkle is more than just one frozen moment. It’s a chain of images, because it moves, like a firework. And that’s something that you can only see in film or in real life.”
