Let’s start off with a very Happy Belated Birthday to Karl Lagerfeld! Uncle Karl celebrated his 79th birthday on September 10th.

He stated: “I like antique dealers and everything the Biennale represents, and I love the Grand Palais, which is my favorite place in Paris. Karl Lagerfeld’s Mon Shu character made many appearances at the Karl Lagerfeld for Shu Uemura (SUKL) launch in the form of a balloon, plush dolls, animated character (flying on a lipstick) and nail decals. In discussing Japanese schoolgirls – his inspiration for Mon Shu – Karl Lagerfeld stated: “They dress a little like me, even if this is more exaggerated.” WWD
