The new Chanel ad campaign for the Fall-Winter 2013/14 ad campaign, shot by Karl Lagerfeld, features Ashleigh Good, Chiharu Okunugi & Soo Joo Park. The trio of women follow lady-like pursuits such as sipping tee, embroidering and listening to music — in what seems to be outer space, considering the lack of gravity. I’m liking the images and I’m glad that Karl has added some diversity to his choice of models.

Chanel Spring-Summer 2013 Eyewear Ad Campaign with Laetitia Casta
Yesterday I posted the behind-the-scenes video of the making of the Chanel Spring-Summer 2013 Eyewear Ad Campaign with Laetitia Casta shot by Karl Lagerfeld. Here are all the images from the campaign. Shot in black and white, Laetitia Casta’s statuesque beauty is the perfect canvas to highlight the new Chanel Spring-Summer 2013 eyewear collection – as well as get a good look at some of the accessories. The giant clear-brimmed hat, the camellia necklaces and bracelets – just gorgeous! Check out the rest of the images below…

Alice Dellal is the Face of Chanel Boy Bags Again
Alice Dellal made her Chanel debut in the first Chanel Boy Bag ad campaign last spring and now Chanel has unveiled the second Chanel Boy Bag campaign starring Alice Dellal as the face of Boy Bag again. The campaign features black and white images of Alice Dellal on horseback – these photos are reminiscent of an image I’ve seen of Coco Chanel on horseback (with Boy Capel) and were probably inspired by that image (see below). The campaign was photographed at La ferme de la Chapelle, Fontaine-Chaalis.

Tilda Swinton for Chanel Paris-Edinburgh Campaign
Karl Lagerfeld has chosen Tilda Swinton to be his heroine in the advertising campaign for the 2012-13 Métiers d’Art Paris-Edimbourg collection. Her unique personality, charisma and allure have charmed the House of CHANEL: “Tilda perfectly embodies the Paris-Edimbourg collection. She is of course Scottish, but more than that she is a modern woman, a timeless icon of elegance,” declared Karl Lagerfeld.”
The campaign will be public come May 2013.

Chanel Introduces Les Beiges Featuring Gisele Bündchen
Back in January I mentioned that the internet was abuzz with rumors that Gisele Bündchen was the face of the new Chanel Les Beiges. Today, Chanel confirmed the news…
CHANEL has chosen Gisele Bündchen to be the face of the new LES BEIGES makeup line. Modern, independent and positive, she is also a nature lover who has a healthy lifestyle and enjoys the great outdoors. She is at one with herself and perfectly represents the values of this line: natural beauty, simplicity, freedom and a healthy glow.
LES BEIGES Healthy Glow Sheer Powder will launch in the United States in August 2013.
Since the line has an emphasis on natural beauty I think Gisele Bündchen is an excellent choice for the campaign. Watch the video below…

Chanel Spring 2013 Campaign
Images of Chanel’s new spring 2013 ad campaign have surfaced online and I have them here for you to check out. Shot by Karl Lagerfeld and featuring models Stella Tennant, Ondria Hardin, Yumi Lambert the campaign has a bit of a Japanese minimalist influence suggested by the tatami mats on the floor and the furnishings, especially the low table. The campaign stirred a bit of controversy when it was first shot because of the employment of Ondria Hardin whose age is in question at the time the campaign was photographed (she was 15 or 16). To everyone’s surprise, the campaign also features another sixteen-year old, Yumi Lambert.
The campaign is nice and I think it’s a success because I can’t wait for this collection to come out!!
What do you think of the controversy surrounding the models’ age? It’s based on an industry guideline but her parents are ok with her working. What’s your opinion on this? Share your thoughts in the forum!!

Karl Lagerfeld sketched a “no smoking” sign but it’s not your typical sign. However, he was not making a statement about unhealthy habits, instead he was noting all the YSL references on many runways and he was stating that you would find a “smoking” – the french term for tuxedo – on his runway. Lagerfeld stated: “We don’t have to do smoking. Hedi Slimane really does it well.” WWD

Chanel Cruise 2012-13 Ad Campaign With Cara & Saskia
Images of the Chanel Cruise 2012/13 ad campaign have surfaced and they bring to life the 18th century style re-imagined by Karl Lagerfeld as we saw earlier this year from his presentation in the gardens of Versailles. The campaign was shot by Karl Lagerfeld and features Saskia de Brauw and Cara Delevingne and the gilded backdrop, apparel and accessories bring to mind the decadence of Marie Antoinette.
