Chanel introduces a trio of favorite colors that will keep you looking peachy keen called “Endless Summer” – the perfect colors to complement your tan (which of course, Coco made fashionable).

I was a history major so I love history – add fashion to the mix and we have a winner! Chanel News gave us the inside scoop on the history of the decor of the Spring 2011 Haute Couture show.

More history! This time, Chanel News gives us some info on the architectural history of iconic 31 Rue Cambon. It turns out Coco was a real estate mogul too!

Chanel had a site devoted to Valentine’s Day – it’s still up and definitely worth checking out. I NEED the double lion head bangle bracelet!

Chanel News just posted a video that shows the details of some of the pieces from the Spring 2011 Haute Couture collection.  I wish I could see all of the pieces close up – many of them look simple from afar but upon closer examination you see all of the intricacies – just gorgeous!

Gwyneth Paltrow at the 2011 Grammy Awards in Chanel Beauté

Gwyneth Paltrow rocked out on stage with Cee Lo Green in his performance of Forget You. While Cee Lo channeled the Fraggles/Muppets Gwyneth kept it classy in a black jumpsuit but she was a team player and wore some neon pink feathered earrings. Her makeup was done by Chanel Beauté and here’s the word on how to get the look straight from Chanel …

CHANEL Celebrity Makeup Artist Angela Levin worked with Gwyneth Paltrow at The 53rd Annual Grammy Awards Show on Sunday, February 13th. Please see Angela’s tips below on how to get Gwyneth’s chic, sexy rock and roll redcarpet look.

“I wanted sexy rock chic for Gwyneth! After applying a light layer of CHANEL Hydramax + Active Moisture Cream and waiting about ten minutes for it to absorb, I applied CHANEL Vitalumiere Aqua Ultra-Light Skin Perfecting Makeup in BR20 (available in March). For the eyes I chose CHANEL Soft Touch Eyeshadow in Cinnamon, smoking the eyes, and also on the lower lash line. And of course tons and tons of CHANEL Inimitable Mascara in Noir! For concealer I used CHANEL Lift Lumière Smoothing and Rejuvinating Concealer in Rose Lumière in a half moon shape blending almost to the hair line and into the temples next to eye brow. I used round motions to create a soft sexy look. For her cheeks, I used the cream cheek colour in the CHANEL Multi-Use Makeup Palette in Paris- L.A, applying with a tapping motion using my fingers. Finally, her lips CHANEL Ultra-Wear Lip Colour in Rose Agate.”

Jennifer Aniston in Chanel Beauté – Just Go With It Premiere

Jennifer Aniston wore Chanel Beauté at the NY premiere of her new movie Just Go With It.  She’s a natural, girl next door beauty and her cosmetics emphasized her beautiful features.

Makeup artist Angela Levin worked with Jennifer to create the look – here’s how – from the artist herself…

Jennifer looked like a golden California girl at the premiere of Just Go With It, a gorgeous contrast to the cold NYC night! Jen’s base was the new CHANEL Vitalumiere Aqua Ultra-Light Skin Perfecting Makeup, a soft, water-light formula with beautiful coverage. I used the CHANEL Quadra Eyeshadow in Kaska Beige on her eyes, applying the gold shade on the lid, and the lightest colour in the palette under the brow. I then blended the darker colours in the crease. I lined the bottom of the eyes with CHANEL Intense Eye Pencil in Noir, and to really make her blue eyes pop, I applied two coats of CHANEL Inimitable Intense Mascara in Noir, on both the top and bottom lashes. Her lips were CHANEL Rouge Coco Shine in Deauville, a delicate nude brown shade launching in April.

Limited Preview: Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Hydrating Sheer Lipshine in “Boy”

For the past year, Chanel has been bringing lipstick back and their latest release is “Boy” – very appropriate for Chanel since she was so inspired by men’s fashion. Here’s some more info on the release direct from the source…

Introducing ROUGE COCO SHINE, the newest lip collection from Creative Director for CHANEL Makeup Peter Philips. Fresh, sheer and luminous, ROUGE COCO SHINE provides beautiful, lasting, moisturizing shine in a water-light texture.

As an exclusive sneak preview, CHANEL will launch its star shade of ROUGE COCO SHINE, “Boy”, a sheer wash of natural rose, at select retailers and on CHANEL.com from February 10-14, 2011 only. It will not return to stores until the ROUGE COCO SHINE collection makes its official debut in April 2011.

There is no better time than Valentine’s Day to honor one of the greatest love stories of all time: Boy is the nickname of Arthur “Boy” Capel who was the love of Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel’s life, the partner and guardian angel of her first success stories. He encouraged Coco’s first venture into hat-making, loaning her money to open her first milliner’s studio in 1910 on rue Cambon in Paris. It was her romance with Boy Capel that inspired her to draw a masculine energy into her constantly evolving wardrobe. She borrowed his pajamas, jackets and straw boaters, and made them her own.

ROUGE COCO SHINE in Boy will be available exclusively on CHANEL.com, and at select CHANEL Boutiques and department stores from February 10-14, 2011.

Suggested retail price: $32.00

Chanel Beauté at the 2011 SAG Awards

Last night at the SAG Awards, Dianna Agron wore vintage Chanel Haute Couture and four actresses wore Chanel Beauté makeup: Hilary Swank, Nicole Kidman, January Jones and Dianna Agron. Read below to find out each makeup artists inspiration and the tips/tools they used to achieve the gorgeous looks…

DIANNA AGRON/Makeup Artist Kate Lee

Beauty Inspiration:
“Dianna wore a vintage CHANEL Haute Couture dress in navy with a black lace overlay. I wanted to make Dianna appear fresh and up to date.”

Get the Look:
“I started by using CHANEL Intense Eye Pencil in Ambre to smoke put the inner lid, then gently blended it onto the upper and lower lash line. I worked over the top with CHANEL Soft Touch Eyeshadow in Cinnamon, a dark burgundy shade. On the inner third of the lid I used grey shimmery tone from the CHANEL Quadra Eyeshadow in Enigma. I blended and melted the colours away from the socket. Lashes were curled and given one coat of CHANEL Inimitable Mascara in Noir-Brun. I finished off the eye by sculpting Dianna’s brows with Anastasia’s brow pencil and tinted brow gel. I then applied a layer of CHANEL Hydramax + Active Serum, followed by Nars oil free primer. I perfected the skin with CHANEL Vitalumiere Moisture-Rich Fluid Makeup. On the apple of the cheek I used CHANEL Powder Blush in Fresque which is a beautiful peach shade that shines pink and adds a really pretty dimension to the cheek. On the lips I used CHANEL Rouge Coco Shine.

JANUARY JONES/Makeup Artist Rachel Goodwin

Beauty Inspiration:
“I wanted January’s makeup to have a shimmering, candlelit quality to it. I was inspired by her black and gold lace dress which had a very decadent romantic feeling to it. I used different shades of gilded metallics and reflective textures on her eyes, cheeks, and lips”

Get the Look:
“I lined her eyes with CHANEL Precision Eye Definer in Gris Scintillant, a sparkling pewter pencil blending all the way into the crease along with a pale gold cream color to her upper lids and inner eyes. Her cheek and brow bones were brushed with Soleil Tan De CHANEL Moisturizing Bronzing Powder for soft radiant highlights. I finished with CHANEL Rouge Coco Shine Lip Colour in Boy on her lips, a delicate luminous petal pink.”

NICOLE KIDMAN/Makeup Artist Angela Levin

Beauty Inspiration:
“Nicole’s dress at the 2011 SAG Awards reminded me of a sexy super movie star, gorgeousness and simplicity were my inspiration.”

Get the Look:
“First, I prepped Nicole’s skin with CHANEL Sublimage Concentrate. To complement her sexy black dress, I wanted her eyes and lips to stand out. I framed her eyes with a dark liner made from the deepest shade in the CHANEL Quadra Eyeshadow in Stupendous. To really make her eyes pop, I then applied three coats of CHANEL Inimitable Mascara in Noir. On her lips I used CHANEL Rouge Coco Shine Lip Colour in Monte-Carlo.”

HILARY SWANK/Makeup Artist Kara Yoshimoto Bua & Manicurist Tom Bachik

Kara’s Beauty Inspiration:
“Hilary’s look was inspired by 70′s screen goddess, Ursula Andrews. She wore a Versace one shoulder soft champagne toned dress with caramel beaded detail.”

Get the Look:
“Hilary’s eyes were extended out with CHANEL Eye Definer in Brun-Cuivre blended along entire upper lashline and lower lashline, on outer half of eye and into crease to create the more graphic shape of the 60′s/70′s lined eye. I finished off the eyes with CHANEL Inimitable Intense Mascara in Noir and Ardell individual lashes on the outer half of eyes. Her cheeks are warmed up with a peachy tone, CHANEL Powder Blush in Fresque. I kept the lips softly lined with CHANEL Lip Definer in Beige, and moistened with CHANEL Rouge Coco Shine Lip Colour in Canotier.”

Tom Bachik used CHANEL Nail Colour in Inattendu on Hilary’s nails.

Animating Chanel Video – Here Comes the Beauty Pack

Today, Nowness launched an animated Chanel video featuring the Chanel Beauté products as robots.  Think Transformers – but instead of cars, it’s Chanel cosmetics.  The animation is adorable and entertaining and exclusively on Nowness.

Here’s what they have to say about the film – as soon as I can get an embed link I will post it on the site…

A jet-propelled robot, a beaming sun god and an impish spider are not the likeliest of characters to embody the ultra-luxurious world of Chanel, but Peter Philips, the innovative mind behind them, has made his name pursuing the unexpected. Chanel’s Global Creative Director of Makeup took a break from conceptualizing cosmetic gold to don the animator’s cap for today’s short, a work inspired by a series of headdresses he crafted from beauty product packaging for a Vogue Paris shoot. Built from a trove of compacts, glosses, brushes and more, Philips’s characters embark on a journey that begins with a lipstick-powered automaton blasting through the clouds and ends on more familiar ground, with a model whose chic ensemble channels Mme Chanel herself. Philips came to the task with the requisite technical skills, having studied graphic design before attending Antwerp’s Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts. But he did concede on one creative point—the music. “If it were up to me it would have been disco,” he confesses.

Beautiful Dreamer: Peter Philips Interview on Nowness

As Chanel’s Global Creative Director of Makeup, Peter Philips’s instinct for trend forecasting is unmatched. Since his appointment in 2008, the Belgian beauty guru has rolled out one hit after another—from his limited-edition nail varnish Jade, which sold for a breathless $100 a bottle on eBay at its peak, to his “temporary tattoos,” a project with Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel’s spring 2010 show, which had a waiting list of 3,589 names before the designs went on sale. For today’s film, directors Jauretsi and Crystal Moselle visited the onetime makeup artist at his Manhattan home to discuss his early memories of his mother, Irving Penn’s light-sculpting ability, and the inspiration behind Philips’s robot-themed animation for Chanel, which has its world premiere on NOWNESS tomorrow.

Chanel Beauté at the 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards

Last night was the 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards Ceremony and the Chanel office has shared some of the celebrity makeup tips – straight from the Chanel makeup artists. Check out details and info on products and how to get the look below.

ANNE HATHAWAY / Makeup Artist Kate Lee

Beauty Inspiration:
“Anne wore a nude rose sequin gown. The dress featured a strong shoulder, so I wanted to make sure the make up was approachable and feminine to allow the dress its full attention.”

Beauty Tip:
“I used CHANEL Sublimage Concentrate to add an intense boost of hydration to the skin. Next I used Nars Oil free pro prime to help the make up to stay put. The foundation was CHANEL Vitalumiere Fluid Makeup, I love its dewy finish. I used Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting powder in Medium to pop Annie’s cheekbones. On the eyes, I used CHANEL Fluid Iridescent Eyeshadow in Sand, which is like a toasty rose gold. In the socket I added depth by adding a little taupe shadow. I curled the lashes, applied one soft coat of CHANEL Inimitable Waterproof Mascara in Noir, my go-to for all award shows! Her lips were prepped with CHANEL Hydramax + Active Lip Care, then blotted and given a coat of CHANEL Rouge Coco Lip Colour in Mademoiselle, and then topped with CHANEL Coco Shine in Bel Ami which gave the rose a violet hue. (Available in April). I tucked the lip color plus the CHANEL Natural Finish Pressed Powder compact inside her purse, and off she went!”
