A while back Lily Allen let us know that Karl Lagerfeld was designing her wedding dress and it appears that her sisters Teddy and Sarah will also be wearing Chanel.
A source close to Lily – whose wedding dresses is being created by Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld – said: “I think the wedding dress itself is going to cost a small fortune. And her sisters, Teddy and Sarah, who are bridesmaids, are getting Chanel dresses too. If there was a budget for the wedding, it’s been completely blown.
I can’t wait to see these wedding photos – I can’t recall the last time a celebrity had a custom Chanel gown made. I wonder if Lily gave Karl complete freedom? Probably not, most brides want to have control of their day. Nonetheless, I’m sure Lily’s gown and her sisters’ dresses will be stunning.
A few weeks ago we gave you a sneak peek of the soon-to-release Chanel J12 Chromatic watch. What makes this watch different from the existing J12 models is the unique compound from which it is made. This is no regular ceramic – it is ceramic mixed with diamond powder and titanium to give the watch the look of metal, with the durability of ceramic. As Charlie Sheen would say…”Uh, winning!” The Chanel J12 Chromatic Titanium Ceramic watch is gorgeous – and the addition of diamonds doesn’t hurt! I would love this watch but something tells me it’s going to be pretty spendy. The watch releases on June 1, 2011.

On Saturday I stopped by the Chanel boutique in San Francisco and I picked up some treats for myself (pics later in the week). While I was there I tested out Rouge Coco Shine. It’s really quite amazing. It goes on as a lipstick, has the coverage of a lipstick, but the moisture and shininess of a lipgloss. It’s like two products – lipstick and lipgloss – in one. I tested a few colors and found that Deauville was probably the best for me since I like to keep things neutral. In fact, most of the colors are pretty neutral and seem like they would flatter many people with different skin tones. If you haven’t tried out Rouge Coco Shine I would definitely check it out. You can find Rouge Coco Shine at Chanel makeup counters or on the Chanel website.

As you may know, in addition to blogging about Chanel, I write for 3 other blogs and am a mama to an 11 month old tiny dancer. Hopscout is a website that sells one children’s product a day – they are big on timeless classics, quality and nostalgia. They’re searching for 5 mamas to add to their roster of product reviewers and bloggers. This position is right up my alley and I would be very appreciative if you would help me attain this goal. Please vote for me – it takes 2 seconds! You can watch the video below but you have to place your vote on FACEBOOK. Thanks in advance for your support!!
Chanel is launching eyelash curlers in the US this coming August. If you live in Asia or have visited there, you may have already gotten yours but this will be a first for those of us who are stateside. The Chanel eyelash curlers come with two silicon refill pads and will retail for $34.00.

Saoirse Ronan, the star of Hanna, wore a dress from the Chanel Métiers D’Art Pre-Fall 2011 Paris-Byzance collection to the NYC premiere of her film. I think she wore it well. She seems really young though and I think the dress may be a bit old for her. It’s beautiful, don’t get me wrong, I just would have loved to see her in something else. What do you think?

The Chanel Cruise show will set sail on May 9th and will show in Antibes, a resort town on the Côte d’Azur, located between Cannes and Nice. To coincide with the collection, Karl is making a movie featuring some of his ladies du jour including Freja Beha Erichson, Lady Amanda Harlech, Anna Mouglalis and Kristen McMenamy. The movie will be shot on location in Monaco and other hot spots in the South of France. I’m a bit surprised that this cruise collection will also be centered around the Côte d’Azur because the last Cruise collection was as well. I’m sure it will have a different feel – I’m really curious to see how Karl will switch it up.
