Chanel Coco Noir Out Now
I was at Macy’s in Union Square, San Francisco yesterday and was happy to see that they were one of the forty doors chosen to launch Chanel Coco Noir. There was a really cool black display that explained the scent and displayed the bottles. I couldn’t get a really good picture because the lights were reflecting off the box but take my word for it, it was lovely. I also got to sample the scent before the launch – yay! I tried it on and it was pretty and definitely reminiscent of Coco – it seemed like a good mix of Coco and Coco Mademoiselle. I think I was hoping for something more Oriental. I was lucky enough to score a sample vial so I’ll be wearing Chanel Coco Noir for the next few days and I’ll decide whether to get a bottle based on how it wears. I have to say that I’m tempted to get it just for the bottle though – the black bottle is beautiful in person!

I gave you a preview of the 1stDibs Chanel birthday sale yesterday but I’ve taken screenshots of the entire sale and editorial they put together. It’s informative, gorgeous and so inspiring. I love seeing earlier creations because I feel like they give us a glimpse into who Coco Chanel was. One piece is more gorgeous than the next – I love the excess of it all. It’s obvious why Coco Chanel is responsible for making costume jewelry popular. Enjoy, and hopefully you might even be able to buy something!
