Chanel Covent Garden Flower Stall & Nail Bar

The once pop-up Chanel beauty boutique in Covent Garden will now be a permanent fixture – the first stand-alone Chanel beauty boutique. To celebrate Mother’s Day in the U.K. this weekend (March 10), Chanel will have a flower stall parked outside the boutique from March 8-10. The mobile Chanel flower stall will feature giant bottles of its most popular scents, as well as the flowers that are at the heart of those fragrances. From March 8-10 you can pick up some roses for your mum along with a personalized camellia card.

The Chanel Covent Garden Beauty Boutique also now features a nail bar with giant bottles of Le Vernis lining the walls – so impressive! Wish I could see this for myself. Manicures are £30 and are redeemable against purchase.

Les Twin-Sets de Chanel Collection for Fashion’s Night Out

Each year, Chanel releases special limited-edition colors of Le Vernis to celebrate Fashion’s Night Out. For FNO 2012, Peter Philips has upped the ante and is releasing Les Twin-Sets de Chanel – a duo of matching Le Vernis nail and Rouge Allure Velvet lip colors.

There are three duos: La Provocante & Provocation, a unique autumn plum harmony; L’Infidéle & Infidéle, an intense pink with a burst of energy; and La Délicate & Délicatesse, a refined expression of beige to play on the natural side of sophistication.

Les Twin-Sets de Chanel are sold separately with Le Vernis Nail Colours retailing for $26.00 each and the Rouge Allure Velvet Lip Colours retailing for $32.50 each. The collection will debut on September 6, 2012, on Fashion’s Night Out, at Chanel boutiques. You can pre-order online at Chanel.com.

An Inside Look at Chanel’s Covent Garden Pop-Up Store

In the past two weeks I’ve posted about Chanel opening up a pop-up store in Covent Garden and now that the store is open I was able to find some images online of the boutique. The Chanel Covent Garden boutique boasts a nail bar, makeup stations where you can get makeovers and cosmetic vending machines coming in the fall.

Celebrity makeup artist Lisa Eldridge of the Chanel makeup video tutorials will drop by in December to give makeup lessons and nail artist extraordinaire Sophy Robson will be at the nail bar. You’ll find the store stocked with the Chanel cosmetics range including hard-to-find limited edition collections. The Chanel Covent Garden boutique is open now through December 2012 – to learn more about upcoming events visit the Chanel Covent Garden website.

Chanel Opens Covent Garden Pop-Up Shop

On July 24th, Chanel is opening a pop-up shop in the heart of Covent Garden just in time for the London 2012 Summer Olympics. The shop will be home to many exciting activities, events and products as it stays open through December 2012. On opening day, you’ll see mimes wearing Chanel jewelry pointing the way to the Chanel boutique which will have the limited edition makeup collection Bleu Illusion.

Chanel is rumored to have teamed up for a fragrance collaboration with a local flower stall. Vouge UK reported:

In addition to exclusive new products, which will launch at the boutique over the next seven months, planned highlights will include a Chanel treasure hunt; educational workshops; consultations with leading Chanel make-up experts; a luxurious space dedicated to facials and pampering; an outdoor area that will recreate the look and atmosphere of being backstage at one of the label’s catwalk shows; and a very special festive surprise come Christmas.

Chanel will also be announcing more events throughout the coming months so stay tuned for more exciting news! I can’t wait to see more. I’ll keep you posted.

Chanel Ephemeral Boutique Capri, Italy Summer 2012

On the heels of opening a pop-up shop at the Hotel La Mistralée in Saint-Tropez, last week Chanel opened an ephemeral boutique on the Italian island of Capri, a historically elite holiday retreat. In the same way that Coco Chanel chose exclusive vacation resorts as the locations of her boutiques, Chanel is focusing on the travel destinations of those who appreciate luxury and have money to burn.

“In the shade of the towering palm trees, guests will savour the exquisite scent of orange and lemon trees while cascades of jasmine perfume the air” as they peruse the Paris-Bombay 2012 Métiers d’Art pre-fall collection. The Chanel ephemeral boutique in Capri has a bohemian feel and is decorated with vintage trunks that perfectly accompany the Paris-Bombay collection.

Chanel Boutique Visit – Bellagio Las Vegas

Last week I was in Las Vegas to attend some fashion trades hows and I happened to be staying at the Bellagio – the location of the newly remodeled Chanel boutique and home to the Las Vegas de Chanel collection. One of the Chanel ladies, Giselle Manansala, invited me to visit her at the boutique on my trip. I wanted to see the remodeled boutique and the Las Vegas collection so we set up a time to meet. I’m so glad that I met with Giselle because she was a wonderful host and gave me a true Chanel experience.

My first matter of business was checking out the Las Vegas de Chanel cosmetics. Luckily, there was still stock left but I didn’t know which items from the collection I should get. Giselle sat me down and gave me a mini-makeover using items from the collection and I loved the finished look. I ended up getting the Lucky Stripes palette and Gold Fingers from the Las Vegas collection. I also purchased a brown liquid liner to complete the look and an eyeliner in Clair to combat tired-looking eyes per Peter Philips makeup secrets.

Next, Giselle gave me a tour of the boutique – the Chanel boutique at the Bellagio is one of the finer boutiques because it carries fine jewelry and bags made from exotic skins. Of course as I walked through the boutique I wanted everything that I saw, one thing was more beautiful than the next. Giselle showed me the VIP sitting room which was lovely and had the most gorgeous couch I had ever seen – definitely too pretty to sit on! Afterward she showed me the fitting rooms which were larger than my NYC apartment in my student days. The rooms were spacious and included a sitting room for people who may be shopping with you. My favorite feature of the fitting rooms was the independent thermostat that you could set to your comfort and an iPod/iPhone docking station. Chanel thinks of everything when it comes to a customer’s comfort – after all, what is more luxurious than that?

I visited the boutique with my tiny dancer and my husband. As it was late in the evening, the tiny dancer was a bit tired but Giselle was wonderful with her. Though the Tiny Dancer is not even two she’s a girly girl and loves watching me put on makeup -in fact I have to give her unused makeup tools to play with to keep her busy. When Giselle saw that the Tiny Dancer was getting bored, she put together a little goodie bag of samples for her to play with. The Tiny Dancer was so excited and the rest of our time there went very smoothly. Not only was Giselle wonderful, all of the staff was friendly including security. Everyone was very warm and welcoming.

I had a lovely experience at the Chanel boutique at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. If you are visiting Las Vegas you definitely need to see this boutique. Ask for Giselle and let her know Gabriella, La Chanelphile, sent you!

High Rolling! CHANEL Exclusive Edition for Las Vegas Handbags

Last week I posted about the exclusive “Las Vegas de Chanel” cosmetics collection launching to commemorate the redesign of the Chanel boutique at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. In addition to beauty products, Chanel is releasing the Exclusive Edition for Las Vegas Handbags – a collection of 5 (Chanel’s lucky number – this is Las Vegas after all!) handbags. All five of the bags have an element of sparkle since you can never overdo anything in Las Vegas. My favorite of the five is the gold bag – the dice charms are too cute! That bag was made for high rolling!

I’m not sure if the bags will be rolling out to other locations or if they are exclusive to the Bellagio or to all the Las Vegas shops. A little birdie did tell me that the Las Vegas de Chanel cosmetics will be available at the Bellagio exclusively for one month and then trickle out to other locations. Good news for all the readers who were asking about availability! If you are at the Bellagio, be sure to ask for Giselle and she’ll make you look beautiful!
