The Chanel Ready-to-Wear Fall-Winter 2013/2014 collection was a feast for the eyes for those of us that love accessories. The emphasis this season was on chains – lots of them – on everything. Boots had loose chains draping over them and shoes had chain details on the soles. Thick bracelets were stacked on wrists, while thick necklaces were worn on the napes of necks place over the hair.
My favorite part of the collection were the bags. The Boy “Lego” Brick bag makes a comeback but this time with some tweed accents. I especially loved the oversize boxy bag that models held like an oversize clutch. Chanel also presented bags oval bags, Boy Bags, and a new bag with a metal pipe-like handle. My favorite bag of all though was the little globe bags. Appearing in black and clear, the Chanel globe bag will definitely be the evening bag of the season.
