Chanel Covent Garden Flower Stall & Nail Bar

The once pop-up Chanel beauty boutique in Covent Garden will now be a permanent fixture – the first stand-alone Chanel beauty boutique. To celebrate Mother’s Day in the U.K. this weekend (March 10), Chanel will have a flower stall parked outside the boutique from March 8-10. The mobile Chanel flower stall will feature giant bottles of its most popular scents, as well as the flowers that are at the heart of those fragrances. From March 8-10 you can pick up some roses for your mum along with a personalized camellia card.

The Chanel Covent Garden Beauty Boutique also now features a nail bar with giant bottles of Le Vernis lining the walls – so impressive! Wish I could see this for myself. Manicures are £30 and are redeemable against purchase.

Chanel Covent Garden Holiday 2012 Pop-Up Shop

The Chanel pop-up shop in Covent Garden is back in time for the holidays and has some great new special features just for this time of year. In the spirit of gift giving you can have purchases wrapped complete with a card “signed” by Mlle. Chanel. Also for the first time you can purchase a Chanel gift card. I saw images of a collection of mini Les Exclusifs bottles but I received confirmation from Chanel that the set is not for sale – so sad I’ve been wanting that so badly! If you went to the shop early then you may have been lucky enough to get a logo pin as well. If you’re in London definitely stop by the Chanel pop-up shop in Covent Garden.

Update: Chanel Covent Garden Pop-Up Store

Last week I posted about Chanel opening a pop-up store in Covent Garden just in time for the Olympic Games. I recently learned new information that I wanted to share. It appears the boutique will be dedicated to makeup and beauty products which is the first Chanel beauty pop-up store that I can think of. Chanel has already launched a microsite devoted to the Chanel Covent Garden pop-up shop but all you can see for now is a countdown to the launch. The site also has some answers to frequent questions which you can see below.

Chanel Ephemeral Boutique Capri, Italy Summer 2012

On the heels of opening a pop-up shop at the Hotel La Mistralée in Saint-Tropez, last week Chanel opened an ephemeral boutique on the Italian island of Capri, a historically elite holiday retreat. In the same way that Coco Chanel chose exclusive vacation resorts as the locations of her boutiques, Chanel is focusing on the travel destinations of those who appreciate luxury and have money to burn.

“In the shade of the towering palm trees, guests will savour the exquisite scent of orange and lemon trees while cascades of jasmine perfume the air” as they peruse the Paris-Bombay 2012 Métiers d’Art pre-fall collection. The Chanel ephemeral boutique in Capri has a bohemian feel and is decorated with vintage trunks that perfectly accompany the Paris-Bombay collection.

Chanel Ephemeral Boutique in St. Tropez Summer 2012

The Hotel La Mistralée in Saint-Tropez is home to a new Chanel Ephemeral boutique that will showcase the Chanel Paris-Bombay and the spring-summer 2012 collections. The XIX century architecture of the Hotel La Mistralée is juxtaposed with geometric patterns and bright colors reminiscent of the 1980s.

To commemorate the opening of the he Chanel Ephemeral boutique at the Hotel La Mistralée in Saint-Tropez Chanel created a limited edition beach tote bag complete with woven straw mat and towel. It’s been pretty much impossible to find a photo of this mysterious tote online but I’m trying to get one! I’ll update you if I find one. The boutique will be open until October 2012.

Chanel Knightsbridge Collection at Harrods

To commemorate the Chanel pop-up shop at Harrod’s in London, Chanel created the Knightsbridge collection – a capsule collection of beauty products created by Peter Philips. Inspired by the English Rose, we have all variations of pink for cheeks and lips. The collection is available now exclusively at Harrod’s.

Chanel Pop-Up Shop at Harrods

I wish that I could close my eyes and click my heels and be any place in the world because at any given time, there is some very cool Chanel happening in major metropolitan cities around the world. The latest? A pop-up shop at Harrods in London. I’m not in London so I can’t give you first-hand info but I have scoured the web and found some great coverage. Blogger extraordinaire Alex of Alex Loves had some great photos of the shop and the specialty products – many thanks to her for her great post. All photos below are from Alex Loves and you can see more great images and read more on Beauty and the Dirt and Style Bubble.

Unfortunately, the pop-up shop is now closed (I’ve been meaning to write this post for about 2 weeks now but a little something called New York Fashion Week got in the way) but it’s too good not to share. If you were in London for Fashion Week (or just happen to live there or close enough to visit) I hope you were able to see this yourself. I’d love to hear about your experience there!
