The Chanel Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2011 show is on Tuesday and it will be shown at the Pavillon Cambon Capucines. Chanel posted a preview of the invite on Chanel News and it’s posted below. It’s difficult to get a read on what the inspiration may be old feeling to it. The tiled double-C’s remind me of the Paris-Byzance collection but they look more like cobblestones to me – like streets in the 1800s rather than mosaic tiles. There’s something about the image that makes me think of horse drawn carriages. I guess I’ll know for sure tomorrow…

In 2 short days Chanel will unveil its Spring 2011 Ready-to-Wear collection and I can’t wait to see it! Chanel unveiled an image of their show invitation (pictured above) and from the looks of it, maybe Chanel’s iconic Camellia is the inspiration for the collection. Since it’s a spring collection, floral is always “on trend” so it’s a possibility. From the looks of the invite, it seems that Uncle Karl is still liking the raw street art feel that imbued his Chanel Soho Boutique reopening. All I can do is speculate – we’ll see in 2 days!
