Le Petite Coco Limited Edition Rag Doll

For the re-opening of the Soho Chanel boutique Karl Lagerfeld designed Le Petite Coco – a Coco Chanel rag doll.  The doll is limited edition and I’m not sure whether the doll is for sale, or whether is was just created for the window display the way the Chanel Bearbricks were a few years ago.  All I know is I want one!!!

For more images of the star-studded Soho boutique opening, check out the gallery on the Chanel blog (and check out the Chanel spraypaint cans!).

  4. Way to rip off the Kouklitas. Nice “new” design…

  5. What’s really sad is that a “grande maison” of a fashion great such as KL has resorted to copying outright a young designer working in NYC, and right in his neighborhood to commit this utter piracy! What an utter shame and where the hell is his pride?! Other fashion greats are working with Andrew Yang (http://www.kouklitas.com)and he has hit the big time recently, having been featured in the New York Times, Barneys New York, Joyce in Hong Kong… It’s obvious that KL is losing his touch BUT TO STEAL from a young designer? This is a window of shame and I will never be a fan of Chanel again til a public apology is made or the ol man stands down. He does not deserve to continue representing Chanel this way and he’s ruining his legacy as a “designer”.

  6. Is everybody around here kidding? Yeah so what if it’s a fashion rag doll, it looks nothing like the kouklitas, the face the pattern design. If any of you new anything about dolls, you would know that this is NOTHING like Andrew Yang’s dolls. Just because a fashion designer decides he wants to make rag dolls, everybody straight away assumes that he must be copying someone else, shame on you people, for shame!
