Ah! It’s coming! My favorite show of the year. I mentioned last week that this year Karl would take us on a fantastic voyage to India for his Métiers d’Art collection. Here’s the first look at the invitation – I’m guessing we shouldn’t expect the glitz and glam of Bollywood and instead it looks like Karl may be inspired by India’s crafts. We’ll know for sure in 5 days!

Rare Chanel on The Coveteur
The Covetuer is every fashion lover’s inside look into the closets we all wish we had. As a year in review, they’ve gathered all the photos of rare Chanel items that they’ve come across and published them in one place. I selected a few of my favorites but you should definitely check out The Coveteur for the full experience.
My New Favorite Website: Sip, Chat, Chow
We’ve seen the Chanel cupcakes, cookies, french fries and lollipops but Tricia Clarke-Stone, the “glam foodie” of Sip, Chat, Chow is taking things to a whole new level. She brings couture to some of our favorite sweet treats. She tends to like Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Fendi in addition to Chanel, but as you know, my only concern is Chanel – check out these pics of couture cuisine!

Vanessa Paradis Wears Chanel in “La Seine” Video
In the film A Monster in Paris directed by Bibo Bergeron, Vanessa Paradis is the voice of Lucile. In the video for “La Seine”, a song from the original soundtrack, Vanessa Paradis wears a Chanel dress from the Spring 2012 Ready-to-Wear collection. Check it out below…
Chanel Cruise 2011/12 Sneaker
Every season Chanel releases a sneaker and for Cruise 2011/12, Chanel has opted for a running sneaker silhouette. This particular silhouette looks like a model from the 1990s – Chanel seems to save its technological developments for its beauty and watch categories. It’s ok though because this sneaker is proof that putting double C’s on something automatically makes them better!
Chanel Links: Thanksgiving 2011 Weekend
I took a much-needed few days off to celebrate Thanksgiving (and my birthday) but that didn’t stop Chanel or Karl Lagerfeld from making the news. Let’s play a little catch-up to see what happened in the Chanel world last week…
I’m not sure why everyone on the interweb is so surprised that Karl Lagerfeld makes a lot of money considering who he works for and the breadth of his projects – but he does, ok? WWD
Karl Lagerfeld will be donning a new hat - that of editor. In February 2012, “Lagerfeld will guest edit all Metro editions around the world. As part of the project, he will create a series of collectible sketches, illustrations and columns as well as choose the stories for the newspaper and give his notoriously provocative comments on the news of the day.” Metro
14 stars were chosen by 15 designers as their ‘muses’, and Chanel picked Yoon Seung Ah in Vogue magazine’s latest pictorial in the December issue. (Not sure which country’s edition of Vogue). AllKPop
Illustrator Megan Hess is exhibiting her work at the newly launched The Gallery in Victoria, Australia. Ragtrader
Chanel launched an iPhone App for the J12 and among the features, you can “try one on”.
Back in July I posted about the pens and lighters that Karl Lagerfeld designed for S.T. Dupont – you can buy them now on the Colette webshop.
Blake Lively and Elizabeth Olsen looked gorgeous in Chanel makeup at the Chanel-sponsored MOMA Film Benefit in honor of Pedro Almodovar. Chanel celebrity makeup artist Angela Levin did Blake Lively’s makeup and Gita Bass did Elizabeth Olsen’s makeup.

Chanel Camélia Brodé – Le Film
I love Chanel Fine Jewelry – especially the pieces inspired by Coco Chanel’s favorite flower, the camellia. Chanel has dreamt up a sparkling, ethereal floral design that is a delicate embroidery of diamonds with gold that dresses the skin in a precious lace. Check out the video for the Chanel Fine Jewelry Camélia Brodé collection below…

Lady Gaga Wears Chanel for Barney’s “Gaga’s Workshop”
Now through January 2, you can see “Gaga’s Workshop” – Barney’s New York has put its 5th floor and holiday windows in the hands of Lady Gaga. She stated: ““We tried to bridge the spirit of Madison Avenue with the spirit of downtown New York pop punk culture and create a space that had a range of prices — some very affordable gifts and some gifts that were more expensive.” On Monday night Lady Gaga wore a custom white Chanel gown designed by Karl Lagerfeld for the ribbon-cutting ceremony. The white tweed dress with black trim is accessorized with CHANEL pearls, camelias and bows. I LOVE this look – especially all of the camellias and pearls. Check out the pics below and Karl Lagerfeld’s sketch pictured above.

Paris-Bombay: Chanel’s Upcoming Métiers d’Art Collection Inspired by India
Chanel’s will reveal its upcoming Métiers d’Art collection on December 6, and word on the street is that the collection is inspired by India. The Paris-Bombay collection will be shown at the Galerie Courbe in the Grand Palais. I can’t wait to see this collection. The Métiers d’Art collections are always my favorite of the year because you see such lovely work from all of the maisons that Chanel purchased to keep the art of the crafts alive as part of Paraffection. The Métiers d’Art collections usually do a lovely job marrying influences. I’d be interested to see how the colors play out in this collection. Chanel is known for a very subdued palette and India is known for quite the opposite. Either way, I’m sure the collection will be heavily embellished and I’m especially interested in seeing the jewelry. Stay tuned!
